This is an EICO ST-70 tube Intergrated amplifier built in The Good Ol' USA. It has very large and great iron (transformers) It sounds pretty vintage as it is warm sounding and the high frequencies roll out very early.

This is tube integrated amplifier made in the early 1960s in the state of New York. It's rated at 25 watts per channel, but in modern parameters, it would be closer to 20 RMS. It sounds pretty loud and has good dynamics considering the small EL 86 power tubes.

Footage of an Ultra Long Haul. This Intercontinental experience was filmed aboard a Boeing 777-300 ER from EVA Air. Great service and food from this Taiwanese airline. This flight took around 16 Hours and 32 minutes. My next flight in the same route took a whooping 17 and 20 minutes due to strong head winds.

How did you like the phono stage, I didn't think it was that good on my WiiM ultra, I use the Schiit Mani for my phono stage.
It’s not bad at all, but I think your Schiit might be a little more clear and more neutral sounding.
hi again where did you buy the idler wheel from? mine is not the right size. its playing now but idler is moving a bit.
hi sir this video was very helpful. i replaced the idler pulley but the deck as issue playing. i see the gears of idler trying to connect with the gear to spin the play reel but it doesn't catch the gear too well. the ff and rw works just play is not good. what do you think it is? where should I be looking? also what is the function of the string on the reverse reel? my string is loose not tight like yours. thanks

Ich habe mir auch den Wiim Ultra gekauft, 1 ich komme in keine einstellung wenn ich 3 sekunden oder mehr drücke , dann bei den ARC eingang oder die anderen sehe ich den EQ nicht , das video zeigt bei 7 minuten 7:15 weiß jemand warum nicht.??????

It would be perfect if it had an I2S digital output. But there isn't. The sound of my system is much better if my DAC receives the input signal via the I2S interface. The Eversolo DMP-A8 is a better product but much more expensive. I hope WiiM makes a version with I2S output as well. It's okay if it doesn't have a DAC.

Would you please demonstrate how the Wiim Ultra connects to a Windows PC and what you can do with the two connected? ie. Can the Ultra act as a dac or soundcard, or can it feed bit perfect music to a PC and bypass the Windows Audio system? I've been looking for answers to this, but can't find any information on it. I feel like I'm looking at streaming on a PC all wrong because it seems no one else does it?
I'm not sure if you can input into a computer, I tried HDMI input from my SACD output using the HDMI cable provided and it didn't work. I tried using other HDMI cables that are ARC capable and it still didn't work.

I just got a simple Kable Direkt RCA cable from the output of my Turntable, into the input phono of the Wiim Ultra. Nothing else. I will try a moving coil cartidge that I have on my main audio room.

From 2013 to 2015, I flew EVA 5 or 6 times first from LAX then from Houston through Tapei to Philippines in Premium Econ. On my last return to Houston (I knew it would be a long time before I returned) I used my points I had accrued to upgrade to Royal Laurel on a 777ER. Both the seats and the service were the best I have ever had in the sky. I slept 7 hours, watched two movies, and had three wonderful meals. I still have the menu from the flight. The flight attendants were unbelievable. If and when I go to or through Taipei again, they will be my go to airline. And while I would never go out of my way to book a Hello Kitty flight, it was interesting. Everything was Hello Kitty, from the livery design down to the swizzle sticks.

Una pregunta bajo mi ignorancia. Tengo un Marantz 40n que viene completamente equipado. Y no se si merece la pena comprar el wiim ultra?. Me gusta la conexión de subwoofer, ya que tengo un Monitor audio silver W12. Eversolo DMP-A6 o Wiim ULTRA? También saber cuál es mejor Un saludo desde Madrid.

@@antoniotrevi4858si y lo tengo conectado. Pero el ajuste es básico. Y al no tener calibración de sala es más complicado afinarlo. O compro un DSP o un subwoofer tipo svs de calibración digital. No solo es tema de subwoofer, no si la calidad de streaming del Wiim será mejor que la del marantz ya que llevan diferentes DAC. Por eso bajo mi ignorancia lo pregunto😊. Bueno no sé si se me explico bien.
Entre mas escucho el Wiim Ultra más me gusta. Yo creo que la pantalla de Eversolo es Mas atractiva, pero el Ultra suena muy bien y ademas tiene Phono Preamplifier para Moving Magnet y Moving Coil, eso lo pone en una situacion por encima de todo mundo para muchas personas.
A mí me pasa con el Marantz 40n, cuanto más lo escucho más me gusta. Pero me gustaría saber si merece la pena comprar el wiin teniendo el 40n?.

Wiim pro can upgrade the original switching power supply to after market linear power supply, I already have very good DAC and as the pure streamer with LPS it sounds as good as Eversolo A6. Looks like you cannot upgrade anything to Ultra. Can you let us know how good Ultra is compared against the Pro, maybe It is not that much better as pure streamer and maybe I will have to skip this time and wait for pure streamer.
They sound different, but both sound great. The Pro Plus sound smooth and warm, while the ultra is more detailed, but not harsh!

Nice setup and music. Something strange there with the resolution, CD's are 1411 kbps - 16bit/44.1khz so the display is either reading incorrectly or it's being upsampled by something. Wiim's in the past haven't been capable of upsampling.

Also even though its a digital out you can still do eq and room correction through it and into your external dac

Wiim pro plus or Ultra internal dac and overall sound? Which is best?
Everyone has a different taste, some people likes Rap, Some Jazz and Some Rock and Roll. They sound a little different, I find like there’s a little missing in the middle of the sound stage with Pro-plus, the sound is very smooth and relaxing, but it sounds like the singer is covered with a veil, but you will still enjoy the smoothness. The Ultra has a nice wide sound stage, great resolution and imaging. The singer is right in front of me, but which ever one you choose you’ll be satisfied, it’s just up to your taste.

Looking forward to getting mine. Currently got the NAD3050 which im real happy with but ordered the wiim ultra for being able to play directly from the streamer and also for the room correction. I will plug in my sub and use the riaa aswell. Just about my nad3050. You think the riaa and dac is better in the nad?
I’m not really sure, because I never had the NAD! But I’m very impressed with this Streamer to be honest. It was made to make a statement?! I guess!!
I like the little spectrum visualizer when playing, they should have more options for those
I believe they can add with firmware upgrades in future.
Just ordered mine! I still own a SMSL SU-6 DAC though... Not sure if it's worth keeping. I'd like to streamline my setup a little and ideally I'll run the WiiM Ultra directly into my power amplifier. Have you already done a comparison with your SU-1? :)

@@flyindo I can’t say it’s better to be honest, I’ve been comparing them side to side and I really like the DAC on the Ultra. It all depends on the synergy of your system. If you have a bright sounding system, the SU-1 will be better, if you have a very warm or neutral system, the Ultra will be better. But still I can’t describe the Ultra as bright, it’s just more sparkle and revealing at the top!

The ESS chip in my Schiit Modi+ is not bright at all. It’s actually a little on the warm side. A lot has to do with the analog stage implementation.

I have a little Bluetooth receiver that is available for about $10 connected to my Marantz 2240, two channel system. I currently link it to my iPhone which allows me to access any music or audio from video from my device to be played on my stereo system. It's basically converting digital to the analog system, so besides room correction and some 3rd party EQ, I don't think this will help me. I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would need this with a 2-channel system.
I have that one too that I bought in 2016 and trust me, the sound quality is not even close.
